Andrew Darnley Jr. started the company after many years of developing his skills and technology background in the elevator industry. Creating a company based on service and cost reduction to his customers.

The family based woman owned company provides close representation to our entire client list and has over 50 years of elevator experience to provide the best solutions to your elevator needs.

We provide new installations, Maintenance, Service repair and Modernization of any type of elevator equipment.

Barrier Free Elevators is a signatory company with the International Union of Elevator Constructors Local 35 based in Albany NY. All of the technicians are trained by the union and can earn their license only after 4 years of apprentice training.

We pride ourselves on our timely and professional service to all of our clients no matter haw large or small.

Our company can provide you with a service contract that will best fit your needs.  We offer Monthly, Quarterly and Semi-Annual Exams on your elevators/Lifts depending on the type unit you have and what the state requires.  A QEI Inspection can be added to eliminate two separate bills to help you stay in compliance with the State.

We are well equipped with the modern tools needed to perform all types of elevator work. We have computer-based tools to diagnose the newest types of equipment provided by other companies in the industry. You don’t have to be tied to the original installer to get high quality service for your equipment.
